Northern Slope Grizzly Hunting Alaska

All licenses and permits need to be purchased at least 30 days prior to your trip. Outfitter will assist in securing these permits.

Day 1 Depart home for Fairbanks, Alaska and then charter to Umiat. This flight will be scheduled by the outfitter. Charter cost is approx $1,100(round trip) this is payable to charter company prior to your hunt. Once in Umiat you will meet your outfitter and transfer to camp. This flight is included in your hunt price. 

Days 2-7 Hunt (6 Days)

Day 8 Depart for Umiat and then onto Fairbanks where you will overnight

Day 9 Begin your return trip home.

Level 3 - These hunts are moderate to extreme and could include long days on your boots or possibly horseback. Expect times of high physical exertion.  A physical training regimen is strongly suggested prior to this hunt. 

Hunts are conducted on foot each day. You and your guide will leave camp each morning and cover multiple miles per day moving to and from different glassing locations. Expect multiple hours each day behind your glass. Once a mature bear is located you will proceed with spot and stalk methods approaching for your shot. These hunts can be quite physical please plan accordingly.
