NWT Trophy Dall Sheep in the Mackenzie Mountains

$105 per species (Subject to change) to be purchased prior to arrival with outfitter assistance. You will need to fill out a Hunting License Application form that will be issued to you by the outfitter. 

Government of the NWT trophy fees are $420 each for Sheep and Caribou, and $210 each for wolf and wolverine. These fees are payable to the Government of the NWT at the conclusion of your hunt.

All hunters are required to pay the $100 Non-Resident Hunting Preservation Fund fee. The Draw will collect this fee at the time of the booking.

Level 4: These hunts are extreme mountain style hunts that will include multiple days of high level exertion to be successful. These hunts will often be a mixture of horseback and backpack style hunting at high elevations with minimal supplies. An extensive physical training regimen is a must prior to this hunt.

Backpack Hunts will begin with a short flight into your hunting area. From there you will be staying in spike camp style accommodations. Hunting will be spot and stalk methods for the duration of the hunt and the hunter should expect to put several miles per day on your boots with packs typically weighing 40-60 lbs. 

Horseback Hunts will begin at base camp the morning after you arrive. Expect to have a 3-8-hour ride with a short break to stretch your legs on your way back in to the hunting area. Hunters should be prepared for some hiking and time on your boots during this hunt as there are areas that the horses simply cannot travel. Accommodations will be either a remote cabin or comfortable wall tent. 

Sample Itinerary

Day 1: Fly to Edmonton, Alberta and overnight.

Day 2:Depart Edmonton to Norman Wells on first flight of the morning, Once in Norman Wells you will then charter to camp (Approx. $1,900).

Days 3-13: First published day of hunt Dall sheep hunt.

Day 14:Charter from camp to Norman Wells and overnight.

Day 15: Depart Norman Wells in the afternoon for Edmonton. Overnight in Edmonton or continue your trip home.
