About Casey Kuehnlenz

Casey grew up in rural Silver City NM, hunting and exploring the outdoors with his family starting from a young age.  He spent countless days in the Gila National Forest getting to know the mountains and canyons frequented by the extraordinary wildlife in the region.  He hunted his first big game animal, a mule deer, at nine years old.  Since then he has hunted every big game species in New Mexico other than Bighorn, which he hopes to pursue. In the last few years he has spent a lot of time hunting in Texas, New Mexico, and Arizona, but Casey will always share his passion for the Gila, and returns to the area as much as possible to hunt with his son. Since those early days of hunting, he has also been involved with competition archery throughout New Mexico, and has established contacts through the sport in several states, sharing knowledge of hunting and in particular archery skills with many different people. He was a two time team state champion, and national qualifier in 4H competition archery.

From 2005-2009, Casey served as an infantryman in the United States Army.  During his time in service he traveled to many countries, including two deployments to Afghanistan. While stationed in Germany, Casey completed the International Special Training Center Sniper School, Close Quarter Battle School, and Small Arms Master Marksman Course. These experiences helped him further develop a finely tuned skill set he uses in his hunting pursuits to this day.

After his service, Casey returned to New Mexico to follow his passion in hunting and help others create memories that last a lifetime.  In the last decade, he has found an interest in custom long range rifles. He and his brother have spent countless hours choosing components, developing loads, and testing them on the range. Casey has been guiding both public and private land hunts since 2003. His experiences as a DIY hunter, client, and professional has given him the perspective to create in-depth Hunt Plans that result in incredible experiences with each hunter he consults.

This is a collection of hunting and fishing pictures that Casey personally took, as well as family hunts and hunts he was guiding.
